Beginning his musical life as a snare drummer in pipe bands, Alex was no stranger to driving rhythms. Moving to playing full kit in highschool and covers bands, he paid his dues with the obligatory pub and wedding gigs before moving on to doing time in Jazz school.
After a jam with Silas and Paul, it was pretty obvious there was a unique sound and vibe. The drums and double bass teamed well to produce a feel the players had not experienced with other bands. A few practices and Bulletproof Convertible was born. Putting the rhythm section behind Waring's songs and melody is a fun challenge that takes time, but the end result is blistering.
When not playing in the band he plies his trades as a father, family man and machine engineer, bringing all these elements together in a crashing arrangement of percussion and drive when the band begins to play.
